As a stunt for his show "NHL Cool Shots", the 40-year old Moriarty made his NHL debut at center for the Minnesota Wild in a preseason game against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Playing 55 seconds of the the first shift, he was knocked to the ice twice and fell once unassisted; he was roundly booed by the fans. [20 September 2000]
